OUR FOUNDER

 

Scott Stevens is the Founder and Creative Director of 2Play Games — a lifelong storyteller, designer, and problem-solver who’s spent more than 40 years building experiences where play, emotion, and meaning collide.  He is focused on how people learn, connect, and change through play.

 

PLAY WITH A PURPOSE

 

At the heart of 2Play Games is a simple belief: the best connection between people is a shared laugh and EVERYONE deserves a seat at the table.  The focus of Scott’s work is accessibility. 2Play Games creates experiences where blind and low-vision players can play on an equal playing field with sighted players. This is not achieved through “special rules,” but through intentional design: tactile-first components, clear information you can feel, and game mechanics that reward smart choices instead of sharp eyesight. The goal is a table where everyone can compete, collaborate, and belong.

WORK WITH KIDS, MASKS, AND INTERNATIONAL THEATRE

 

Scott’s interest in game & play theory began with Drama Therapy where he developed techniques working with young victims of abuse. This included developing a set of specialized masks used in interacting with the children. Scott strives to find the sweet spot where creativity does something real for people.

 

Along the way, Scott’s been lucky enough to see his ideas land on big stages too - designing interactive games for exhibitions on the Avengers, Jurassic World, and earning a Guinness World Record for the Largest Interactive Touch Screen for The Hunger Games: The Exhibition.

 

His designs are influenced by his theatrical experience including touring Broadway shows, children’s theatre in South America, and KA, by Cirque du Soleil.

 

ADVENTURE BEYOND THE GAME BOARD

 

When Scott isn’t behind a computer, he’s usually chasing perspective — sometimes literally. From the depths of the Grand Canyon, along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, to Everest Base Camp (victory cigar in photo above), he’s drawn to experiences that challenge comfort zones and reward curiosity. That same spirit fuels 2Play Games: pushing boundaries, trying new angles, and designing games that invite everyone in.

 

THE MISSION

 

Scott’s mission is simple:

to create games that combine bold creativity with purposeful design — so play becomes something people feel, remember, and share.
